The Sudanese Knowledge Society is happy to announce that by the end of Part II we have 5 citizen science projects (out of the 10) that may see the light in the near future depending on how hard we work on them of course. Two groups merged because of similarities between their projects (projects 7 and 8, both on environmental education), and other groups registered but could not join the two days event.

We intend (a) to follow up with the 5 citizen science projects that emerged from this effort, (b) to continue with this training package and keep improving it, as well as (c) to reach out to more groups who have interest to explore the problems they are working on from a citizen science perspective. Please connect with us if interested.

For now, let us congratulate ourselves and these 5 teams:

5.    Sahl Yasin and Awad Ahmed (Water Quality Gaps)

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Orwa and Muiz, who are working on the transportation problem, were the furthest along in their project thinking by the end of the two-day event, and therefore awarded the Knowledge Management book that was offered by one of its authors and an old friend to the SKS, Paul Corney.
